Ummm…I was hoping for another stand-out song on the soundtrack, like “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” was for the original.  That didn’t happen, and they basically recycled one of the songs.

Mushu screws everything up; then he fixes everything in the end, à la deus-ex-dragon.  Although the final outcome was probably slightly better than it would have been, had he not interfered at all.

I learned what a caber toss was from Curse of Monkey Island; I smiled when I saw a caber toss here.  Didn’t see anyone using a barrel of rum to blow up a rubber tree though.

While watching, I recognized so many bits and pieces of other Disney movies; but I suppose all of the tropes are ancient and I shouldn’t really be surprised.

Oh boy.  More flat soda.  Somebody needs to learn not to pop the top until it’s time to drink.

I kept hearing not-Simba talking and thinking, “that sounds familiar; but I can’t quite place it.”  Once I opened imdb for Greg Cipes and saw the logo for Teen Titans it  immediately clicked, “oh yeah, Beast Boy!”

Ricardo Montalban is the one true Khan.

I’m getting lots of what I’m going to call a “reverse yeah, I remember that” or “yup, that’s where it came from.”

There’s a scene where Kirk says, “damage report”, he and Spock then walk over to a monitor where Spock points at each of the glowing red dots one at a time before finally saying, “they knew exactly where to hit us”.  I’m thinking, “thank you Mr Spock, I never would have noticed those specks of light had you not pointed them out to me!”  He should have spoken and pointed at the same time.
